Director General of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, said the 2010 budget, which Badilag had received, had to be used for programs producing concrete results. He also warned the authorized officials of the budget not to easily cash the budget.

“The budget must be used as effectively as possible, and for programs that have positive impacts,” he asserted.

Wahyu made those statements on Wednesday (13/1) when handing out operational guidelines of 2010 Badilag’s budget to four work units within Badilag i.e. Secretariat to Directorate General, Directorate of  the Development of Religious Courts’ Judicial Staff, Directorate of the Development of Religious Courts Administration, and Directorate of  Religious Civil Case Management and Regulation.

Compared to the previous year, Badilag budget shows a decrease. “Even though our budget this year decreases, especially for capital expenses, but we should be grateful because the budget for programs pertaining to the development is increased,” the DG said.

As reported earlier, Badilag still focuses its programs in 2010 on enhancing the quality of human resources in the Religious Courts, particularly judicial staff. In addition, Badilag has committed to improve the supervision.

“Results of the supervision will serve as a consideration for the development. And this will need good coordination,” Wahyu added.

On this occasion, Wahyu also stressed the urgency of the openness of information for public. People are now free to access all Badilag’s activities through badilag.net, which were previously only available in the Badilag intranet. (avic)
